I finally did it
« on: October 14, 2017, 06:58:12 PM »
Well..... I did it!
Placed my order tonight (officially) for a Seekoutside Redcliff tent and a Liteoutdoors XT Ti cylinder stove. Man I'm so stoked to get this thing and try it out. I'm headed out of the country for awhile though so I won't be able to actually get it out until early March, but damn I'm super stoked !! I got the double sewn in mesh doors as well... Hate those little flying blood suckers! Hope the doors help a little at least.

Sorry for the long lag dude, I’ve been traveling through SE Asia and Patagonia since October.
Anyways, I just got back and set up the Redcliff in my brothers back yard to see how hard it is to set up and I wanted to burn in the new stove..
Total set up time for the tipi was about 15 minutes (was our first time ever). We have it down now and next time should be in the 5 minute time frame.. my cylinder stove took about 15 min total to set up as well.. the hardest part was bending the stovepipe into the correct shape. I’ve been told though this will now be much easier since being “burned in”.
There’s definitely enough room for 3 guys, our gear and the stove. Maybe even a little room for some firewood. For two guys this place is huge! I’ll use it solo for car camping or base camp style hunts.. money well spent and can’t wait to use this thing in the back country! It’s definitely an expensive set up, but hopefully it pays off with lots of good times being warm and dry in the back country!
It’s pretty crazy watching that stove and pipe glow red hot while sitting in there at night, but man that thing throws off some heat. It was in the mid-30’s this night and inside the tent was easily 80-90 degrees.

Sweet setup mister!  I just burned my new Lite Outdoors stove off over the weekend and will put it in a Luxe Megahorn III to see how it heat in space maybe this coming weekend.  Really liking the little TI stove.

Thanks man! Pretty stoked on this set up too!! Not sure which stove you got, but this is the liteoutdoors XL stove and it’s way bigger than I thought it would be. Puts out a ton of heat and you can put some good size logs in it.. gonna try out a little cooking on it next time around..

Awesome setup, looks sweet.

I’m 99% sure I’ll be ordering the Cimarron.
