Nice deer. I miss the whities.

I think I’ve wrapped up the Muley calendar so decided to have some fun in the whitetail woods with my last couple days of vacation.  It was fun watching the rut progress.    The whitetail rut is insane

CI have the images selected, (for the most part). Trying to decide between a few.  it’s just a matter of uploading and publishing it.  Usually around Thanksgiving.

A little surprised by how light colored his antlers are. Most mountain bucks I've encountered have pretty dark horns.

There are a lot of whitetails that aren’t in the northwoods.  ;).  And they vary a lot even on the same hillside.  Preferences of the beast I guess.

Yeah yeah yeah   :chuckle:   I'm such a fan of dark antlers that it's a bit of a let down for me to see big ones with light antlers. I'll get over it some day.
