Great cougar taxidermy...
« on: November 28, 2017, 05:27:28 PM »
Not mediocre or decent, looking for something better than that. Anybody come close to P. Soucy quality somewhat locally? Would love to hear your thoughts, buddy and I were fortunate enough to call in and kill a giant and he wants to honor it with a full body. Thanks!

Charlie on this site (or used to be) has the most lifelike cats I've seen. Not that I'm an expert but if the eyes aren't perfect it makes it look not right.

We need pics!!

Charlie did mine. I love it  not sure where he is at as far as taking work these days tho.

I have never seen his cats in person but the pics from Natures Way on here, fb, and word of mouth all the cats look superb. I would take a cat to him for sure.

Mike at natures way. If it’s indeed “huge” save his $$ and take it to soucy...

Life like taxidermy, in Carmen ID.  You will have to ship or drive your hide there but he is as good at Soucy.  That's who is used for my lion and I would not go anywhere else if I do another

Jug Blankenship did my lion and a couple stubbies did great work but passed away a few months ago. Cats isn't something to save money on in my opinion ....

Wow, those are some sweet lions!  Here's the link to photos if anyone else wants to take a look.

Thanks for the replies and pm's fellas. Some nice options. Yeah they really are a difficult critter to get right, that's why he is doing some serious looking before making a decision. There are some great taxi's on this site and this thread is in no way  disrespecting them, like I said just weighing as many options as possible

here's the one I had Life Like do a few years ago.  IMO, he's the best cat taxidermist in the NW.  I wouldn't gamble with a new or un tested taxidermist on cats... they are tricky to get right

Apparently Charlie is only doing Taxidermy work for friends these days.
