Looking for eastern WA turkey, archery??
« on: March 05, 2009, 09:23:35 AM »
I am looking for a place to hunt turkey that has a decent chance of having birds.  It would be nice to be able to bring my little guy (5 1/2), he can walk a bit.  I just don't have time to get over to the East side for scouting.  I can possibly trade for a chance at a turkey on Decatur or Lopez Islands in the San Juans.  Archery over here would be preferred but shotgunning would probably work too.  Edfisher@centurytel.net

Colville/Kettle area has the best chance at an easy bird.

Thanks, Boneaddict.  Have hunted Kettle Falls in the past but know of only one spot.  Though after not having been there for 10 years, I walked in on second to last day, a couple of years ago, and got a decent jake.

Brandon,
I may be able to get you on to some private land in the Rice area.  If you want me to check I will ask.  Also know some public land with turkeys.  But there are gobs of birds in the Ketle/Colville area. Went by some guys house last year and stopped in the road and counter over 100 in his front yard.
