Idaho Non-Resident Hound Permit
« on: December 01, 2017, 09:24:03 AM »
Anyone one apply?  I did, fingers crossed I draw this year.  If not though I will be moved over there by April, so I'll be able to purchase one for spring bear.  I'll still have to pay non-resident prices, but at least I'll be eligible to buy a permit.

Is this for bears or cats or both? Are you allowed to bring other hunters?

I hunt them all the time by choice as a resident. If someone values running their dogs then hunting a area with less roads is a small price to pay to get to hunt

Bear, lions, bobcats and coons.  You could tag along, but not allowed to shoot anything over the dogs and cannot handle the dogs.

I agree, but didn't want someone to get the wrong impression.  Access can be tough, particularly if you are driving several hours just to get there, but you are 100% right on the money!!

I will...since I have three inexperienced pups there will probably be lots of pictures of porkies treed; coyotes, moose, deer and elk running for their lives (just kidding!!)  :) :)
