Ran 1 3/4” spacers all fall so I could run chains on all four.  Heavy duty v-bars in the rear.  Works fine.  Expensive but cheaper than new offset rims.

I’m going to look into spacers.   I bought the best of the best in chains.  I really don’t want to go to cables.

I think I will too, but first I need to get this thing up a little.

I'm looking into bilstein 5100 shocks with the adjustable ride height from 0-2.75"

If I use the 2.75" shock and put a 2" spacer in the rear axle that will help some, then I'll put on tall skinny tires (studded snow) with a bit of offset on the wheel

I like the hankook 10 ply iPike for deeper snow

I ran Hankook tires on my semis and pickup trucks in 10 ply. Great tires. Rotate and keep up on them and you'll get good wear too.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I don’t know who made my old chains but they resisted hacksaw when similar looking chains cut like butter. They had carbide ice cleats too. So yeah some are superior material and workmanship
They would be 40 years old now. Ran them HARD on the front of an old Bronco

KF look at the Bilstien 4600 too, get lift but not adjustable. I looked at the 5100 adjustable and really think the adjustability might be a weakspot. I measured my car and need about 2 inch to level the rig.

There is a ring clip that spring base sits over. With adjustable there are 3 grooves the clip can fit in and non adjustable only one groove.  No difference in strength.

yep I went to town and looked at them I will be using the 4600, I see no need for adjustment anyway, install once and done.

I love solid front axle fronts, no clearance issues.

The more I think about this the more I want an older hunting rig.
