Cougar down

Crossed a logging road in front of me at 30 yards. With a creek in between us. Noise allowed me to walk up the road. I went in the same place. Really dark reprod one chance for a shot no time to range her. Went for my 40 yard pin. Threaded the needle. Heard it hit bone. Cat jumped 6 feet stait up. I knew it was good hit. I waited 12 minutes before I said Hail Marys and went down in after her. Found blood and tracks. The blood was good but the trail is terrible really dry hard to see the blood. tracked her for 30 yards lost the trail circled around got in the ferns found blood went over a log when another 20 yards look to my left and there she laid about 8 feet from me. Glad she was dead LOL
After the pack out and tagging I called fish and game they met me in Acme to get her sealed. I met my taxidermy last night and we are skinning today and looking forward to eating cougar. That's itj

She has a little age, probably would have more kittens in coming months, good for the local deer herd that you got her.
