Thanks for the info. Looks like cracking the code to hunt is Washington is going to be as challenging as the hunt itself.
Welcome Dtray, work in Bham and grew up in Bradenton. Ha Go figure. Once you get up here, lets have coffee and a chat!Jim
Spent 4 years up there going to college. It was a hard town to leave, you will love it. Not sure about big game as I am just a bird hunter. There are/where some good places to duck/goose/pheasant hunt. I like the vibe of the town...good people and tons to do outdoors.Good Luck on your move I have never ate pheasant, let alone hunted them. But I will give both a tryBD1
You are moving to a great area. Bellingham is a very nice small town. I would live in the south end, Fairhaven area if I were moving there. Lots of areas to hunt. You are a ferry ride away from Olympic Peninsula which offers lots of hunting options.
I'm 51 years old, retired from the military back in 2006. Still hit the gym 4 to 5 times a week, so humping to the back country isn't a problem. Down here in Florida, I do a lot of fishing and spearfishing. I have a 24' Center Console that I'm going to try and sell before I move and upgrade to something a little bigger with a closed cabin. But I plan to fish as well up there. Also into hiking and camping. Pretty much into just about anything outdoors. Oh, one last thing, I'm semi retired. Do a little contract work here and there. So getting out during the week for the most part is not a problem.
