sled question
« on: March 09, 2009, 04:56:49 PM »
Hey all, I'm tryen to find a fully enclosed canopy for my 16' sled, and can't seam to find exactly what I have in mind. I see the canopy that I have in mind all over the place out on the rivers but never seem to find a fully enclosed one like I want. Does anyone know where to find these and what exactly is the name of these? Any help is appreciated, thanks and keep your tip up!!

Can you maybe post a pic of your boat and or the make and model? Are you looking for a canvas top or a hard top?

Very cool, there should be several guys on this site that can give you some examples. If you are looking for quality work there is a shop right down the road from me that does great work.

FWIW Gasman, I went in there to have a relatively simple modification done to my cover and they said they couldn't do it, The Boat Top Shop did it for $20.00 in about an hour. See the little addition above the "TH" when I added rod holders to my rail my cover didnt fit any longer, it needed to be notched and this new pouch added and Dougs couldn't do it :dunno:

Doug is a one man outfit that does mostly full economy tops. He did most tops for Olympic when they were in biz. He has commercial accounts so he can really pick and choose.

The boat top shop is probably the best but also the most expensive.

There is a guy in Longview that has a huge shop and does anything you want, budget or highend. He is also the most reasonable I have ever seen. His tops and service is great and his prices are low!!!

Thats were Im going, problem is I dont know the name. My buddies in Longview and Chehalis all got theres done and thats were mine will go. Ill gete ahold of my bud and get the name.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.
