While out and about a couple weeks back, I picked up a Ruger GP100 in 327 Federal for a great price.

I haven't really figured out what the little 327 Federal is good for other than just being a fun little caliber. It comes up short of the 357 Mag in the energy department, but I have other guns if I need something with a little more oomph. It's not small enough to use as a carry gun, but it's a good size for packing around while I'm out in the woods.
I'm just curious if anybody else has one and what you'd use it for. Right now this gun is safe until my father in law gets a chance to shoot it. He's been all worked up on this chambering since it came out but he never picked one up. After that I haven't decided what to do with it. I wasn't that interested in the caliber when I bought it, I just wanted the GP100 to use as a donor gun for a new project. Gary Reeder will convert these little GP100s to 5 shot 44 or 41 mags or 41 and 356 GNR
