Do You Support Grizzly Bear Reintroduction?
« on: April 03, 2018, 09:53:41 AM »
From Congressman Dan Newhouse R-WA 4th District

Quote
On March 23, Interior Secretary Zinke announced his support of Grizzly Bear Restoration efforts in the North Cascades National Park.

Reintroducing grizzly bears into the North Cascades National Park was originally proposed by the previous administration, and the issue re-emerged early in the 115th Congress. I have heard from constituents, local stakeholders, and elected officials, and I am concerned that there is an inadequate level of local community involvement in this decision.

An action as impactful as reintroducing grizzly bears into an ecosystem that is co-inhabited with people and livestock should only be made with sound science and with the support of the affected community members.

I want to hear from you:

Do you support reintroducing grizzly bears into the North Cascades?
 ( )Yes
 ( )No
 ( )Not sure

Take a minute and fill out the survey.

The survey wouldn't work for me.

I wish there was a comment section.

Weird. I just double checked and it worked fine for me on my desktop.

It didn't work for me, either, so I called Dan's Yakima office and let them know about the problem and my opinion - oh hell no! Phone: (509) 452-3243

Linked worked but it wouldn't let me do the survey or open the survey in a separate window.  :dunno:

It didn't work for me either.  I tried both Exploder and Google Chrome.  But my answer is NO.  We deer hunt not too far from there and that's all I need is to worry about a 1200 lb bear wanting my deer more than me.

I bet you have to turn off your popup blocker to get it to work.
When you click on the initial survey it opens a new window for the actual survey.

Bunk!!

I think Grizzlies should be re-introduced into all of their historic range.

That would be fun.

And why do we need to import them when there are these signs posted already in the North East corner of the state.
