Do my kids need fishing licenses?
« on: April 21, 2018, 06:09:15 PM »
Opening weekend being just around the corner I’m getting them ready to go fishing. I’ll be bringing a 7, 11, and 12 year old with me. I have my license do they need one? Do they get their own limits? Just figuring I’ll take them to one of the local lakes around Spokane for trout.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Pretty sure in WA they still get their own limits without a license.  Other states they have to use part of the adult limit.  If fishing for salmon, etc that require a catch card, they will have to have their own in order to keep a limit.

Thank you! I read the webpage but didn’t see anything about kids and limits. I know we don’t need catch  Record cards for trout so good there.

No license required for those 14 and under and they each can take their limit   - as long as they follow all other regulations.
