Hi,
Suppose to be much more reliable,... especially in damp conditions. Hotter too, makes using pellets more reliable to ignite. Less (no) hang-fires.

I'd recommend the switch based on a more consistent ignition source, as well as the ability to use Blackhorn 209 or pellets.

What was funny is the only hang fires I have had have been with 209 primers. LOL Not a lot of experience but have shot about same number of rounds with #11 mag caps.....not one hang fire. I was using T73f straight and as a duplex for BH209. The hang fires came with 209 primers and BH209 straight. Not enough of them to cause me to not use. I think I had 2 out of 100 shots...higher than I like but I cant change what happened. Personally I will hunt with BH209 and do all my other shooting with T73F. FYI....literally dozens of thread talking about 209 primers that cover every detail with some very experienced shooters commenting.
