Kapowsin Bear Tag Filled!

Finally got it done last night to fill my Kapowsin tag! I passed one up this size about 2 weeks ago, and was beginning to kick myself for it thinking I might not see another. Last night this guy presented an 8-10 yard perfect broadside shot with no idea I was there. I scanned for cubs and let the .280AI roar. He was feeding along a grassy road and dove off the road after the shot. He went about 15 yards total, but it took quite awhile to find him! No blood anywhere except for where he died. Scared the crap out of me when I crouched down to scan for him and he was about 3 feet left of me in a tree well when I finally did see him! The coat is in perfect shape. Should make a great rug.

I shot him right around 7:30 PM. The one I passed up looked very similar but in a different area, was also out between 7-8 PM (don't recall the exact time, probably closer to 8PM).
