Nice job, glad you were able to get it done! I had the same tag last year.

It was the most challenging hunt I have ever done.  Forgot my gators so boots were wet for 3 days.  Got into elk but they didn’t want to play.  Halfway drawn back and a bull runs.  Tried all the tricks and finally got this guy to respond.  I thought he was further away and tried to cross a small opening about 30 yards.  When I step out he turns his head in the trees and I thought it was over.  Followed him quickly about 30 yards down the trail he took off on.  Bugles load then hurried another 30 yards up and he turned around and started the slow troll back towards me.  Had no idea I was there and magaed to come to full draw and drill him about 8 yards away.

Looks like the odds will be much higher in 2019. The number of permits has been cut nearly in half.
