Now is the time to practice field judging Moose! Shiras ears are about 30inches tip to tip when spread out. If you can see an ear on each side. Ears are 8-10 inches long. Use those measurements to compare with overall width and paddle width.

Here is a pic for you to practice on. (I know and can measure exact measurements if you want after you guess)
Thanks for the fun practice. I'll have to look at it closely as soon as I get some time.

Congrats Grundy...really happy for you and happy to see that the HuntWa mod/admin OIL deal we have with WDFW is still holding up. Really looking forward to watching this play out.

Huge congrats.   Had the late hunt right next door in 15.   Hunt hard
And hopefully the snow doesn’t become too much of problem.
They will often be bunched up so always be looking for the bulls

It's a perk. Next draw cycle I will be ready for my tag. Combination of time and post count.  I'm thinking elk instead of moose since im taking advantage of my one free sponsered hunt eith ambush outfitters. Come to think of it....since I'll be toting my one free rifle  ( that I'm loving! ) from rbros its shaping up to be a pretty good looking 2019!

Read the fine print in the agreement. It's got to be an OIL tag.... rookie
