Blue Mtns. Foothills East Modern
« on: July 02, 2018, 03:00:06 PM »
Well apparently I'm that guy that put in for the wrong unit for my second choice and drew it. I meant to put in for west, but I burned 14 points so I'd like to make the most of it. I plan on using the Go hunt maps and seeing about access. I also thought I would reach out here to see if anybody would want to help. Thanks advance.

onxmaps might also show more info on specific land ownership.

Your best bet to find access is to drive the units and jot down phone #’s on the “hunt by written permission” signs. Call them and see what happens. That or find a place to hunt public in Lick Creek. There’s a lot less deer though unfortunately. Your best bet for finding a quality buck will be on private ground in the farm country. There is  also some hunt by reservation land through the state too. Get on the Wdfw site to figure the ins and outs of that out.

That area is pretty locked up by private, your scouting is going to be door knocking and making phone calls. I would start now! Good luck to you!

:yeah: Not sure why the majority keeps mentioning private land. Lots of public land and plenty of good bucks

Not certain I’d say tons of animals, unless you are referring to predators.  :twocents:

This is why I mentioned the private land issue. There’s a ton of public land but the hunting on the private is a lot better quality.

Think they took lick creek out of that tag.
