Checked the cameras yesterday. Hiking in I bumped one of the big cows and she barked at me for a good 15 minutes...the calf may have been bedded down somewhere close. Coming back out I caught a herd coming off the ridge and was able to get in front of them with the wind in my favor...they passed within 15 yards headed down to the water. It was fun being that close.
