We nailed a 15lb keeper nook right out of the gate, first 5 min then tons of 16-20" blackmouths and 2 keeper coho until we quit at 10:00am. Fast action all morning but only one adult king. Only 2 keeper dunges in 2 pots on a 5 hour soak.
Fish hard, hunt harder!

My kid and I took advantage of the early tide change yesterday.  We started at 5:00a and bonked our second king at 5:37a.  Then we switched to coho, and were done at 6:30a.  Another nice July coho in the mix, this one was right at six lbs.  Kings were 7 and 10 lbs.  We released another clipped king in the 8 lb range.  Just great fishing out there.

Yes, still in MA10.  My kid was all excited to make the trek to MA9 for the last day (we launch at Shilshole), so we loaded up on gas and food to make a day out of it.  He was hell bent on catching our kings.  But I wanted to make an early stop so we could fish first light and the tide change, and we never made it out of there.

No kidding, that's our second one like that.  Both were unclipped, wonder if there's an early coho run in one of the south sound rivers?   The rest of the cohos we've caught have all been in the 3 lb. range, presumably all residents.
