Personally, my favorite 'coon trap is the Havahart 1081. It is big enugh to sometimes catch more than one at a time and they seem to have no shyness about going inside. The next smaller one is also a good trap.....I think it's the 1079 model.  Del's farm supply sells one called the Little Giant which is also a sturdy trap. You will get as many opinions on trap selection as there are trappers in the world.
I have used less expensive equipment (Harbor Freight) and caught 'coons with them. The problem with this situation is that a raccoon fights when it is caught and will destroy a flimsy trap to get away.  In the end, you are left with a mangled trap and an 'educated' raccoon.

The big R store in Moses lake has good traps. On the Wet side you could contact George Sovie in south tacoma and buy one.  when you bait your trap you don't want every cat or dog in the neighborhood to get in it so Here is a suggestion on baiting it.  Get a nylon footee stocking and put some marshmellows smeared with good peanut butter inside of it 3-4 should do it there, tie that to the top of the trap above and to the rear of the foot trigger.  Place about 3 marshmellows with peanut butter leading from the front of the cage back to the trigger. The final trick is to put a little real vanilla extract on the stocking and the marshmellows.  This will draw in both coons and opossums.  a curious cat sometimes.  Caution this as well as the other options for bait can and will draw in skunks.  think about where your going to place this trap so an accidental spray won't do a lot of damage.  Find a good place to position the trap. A place that can get torn up a little by the critter try to reach out and pull up anything and everything. Place your trap and then run a re-bar stake down through the inside edge of the trap.  That will prevent it from being rolled over and set off to early or rolled over and allow the animal to escape.
good luck and have fun.
I've slowed down enough in my old age to finally let the game catch up to me
