Zuchini sandwich
« on: August 17, 2018, 08:14:05 PM »
If you plant a seed then what do you do with all the darn things? :chuckle:
So I tried a sandwich. Cooked it on the griddle along side a burger. Just a little grease to keep it from sticking and some johnnys sprinkled on it. Don't cook too long, flip and reseason. Needs to be still firm. Bread, mayo, zucchini and a slice of fresh tomato.
Never replace a blt but it ain't bad.

I eat them raw on salad. Sliced like a cucumber.

Or in spears with blue cheese dressing.

You could always try zucchini pasta! I've tried it once and it turned out pretty darn good!

Zucchini season, lock your car.  Big ones make great boats, sows love them, mock apple pie is passable and a bunch disappear in stir fry.

When you see folks in the grocery store buying zucchini...……….means they have no friends.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Hollow them out and stuff with meat and cheese, then deep fry.

Zucchini, beets and onions lightly oiled and seasoned with your favorite seasoning salt. Makes a great pairing with almost any  BBQ... and yes the Zucchinis are  easy to grow... but hard to keep the rats away from grrr

Zucchinis gross me out  :puke:

My wife makes killer zucchini bread, and everytime she does we argue, I say
"if you take the zucchini out of the recipe, it would be just as good"
I mean seriously, you don't put enough in to even taste it, so it just adds little green flakes. And the bread batter is killer without the zucchinis  :dunno:

So why put that nastiness in all that goodness  :hello:

Frying it and making bread is the best way is to eat it.
