« on: September 11, 2018, 12:51:31 PM »
Drew the peaches ML tag end of Sept. Just my luck Stuck in Washington, DC the past 7 months working  this year  so did not get a chance to scout. Know unit fairly well. Would appreciate any reports from the archery tag holders

They haven’t been bugling that much so your hunt should be really good

I hunted Taneum for a few days for general archery. I heard bulls bugling deep in the canyons and bowls in the area I was hunting. They shut down early, by 8:00AM or so. I didn't hear or see much up on the ridge tops. I was hunting solo and did not want to venture too deep on my own with no help to pack out. Have fun on your tag and good luck!

Tons of bulls bugling. You should have no issues finding elk this year. Most of the burn area is still pretty dead so all of those elk are down lower now.
