maybe you should get your story straight with the other *censored* guys before blabbing on here.  Because it was mid to late august when I met jacob and one other self proclaimed *censored* guy filming there hike up into this area. why would they all claim that if he quit in december
I was with Jacob that day we met you. I am part of *censored*, Jacob is not. I hunted that area for 3 days. No member of *censored* other than me stepped foot in that unit and none of us messed with your cameras.

People hunting with tactics you don’t personally use does not mean they are ruining an area.
so let me get this straight,UUGH so you think that chasing all the elk out of an area is not ruining it. at least not for you

No one was harassing the elk to chase them out of the country. Like I said, just because people use tactics such as aggressive bugling and you dont does not mean the elk are getting chased out of the area. Jacob ended up killing a great bull while I was on the high buck hunt. He must have killed the only one left in the unit after chasing all the others away.

Naches sportsman was correct was correct in saying you will ruin this area. you successfully ruined it this year. at least for the archery season. correct me if I get anything wrong here, you hunt the area with no reguard for others that are hunting there, tromping through bedding areas and bugling  and cow calling all day chasing all the elk out of one drainage to the next or beyond. I'm not trying to say your stupid or disrespectful accept for messing with other peoples cameras, only that you are ignorant of the behavior and patterns of the elk that live there. these elk will stay in this area if they are not pressured to much.

You continue to say “ you “ when I or any of us stepped foot into this unit. Jacob the one you have a photo of us no longer with us as a group. Nor has he been since last December. He was with a new group of friends I just don’t want his actions to bring down *censored*s name.as he acted alone or influenced by other people.

Drinking beer before going out to hunt posted in your video ruined the *censored* name, not your ex-friends actions.

Hey! I thought I might be the only one that turned it off after that! well that and the profanity.
Just tend your own and live.

well thats easy because he hiked his but out of the area that you all  chased the elk out of. he got this bull  over four miles as the crow fly's away from  there. which is no easy hike . I  thought  you would have known that . maybe you do know but are still trying to justify your actions. I  talked with the others that helped him pack it out . some really nice fellows too.

Covering country is part of elk hunting. We covered over 40 miles in the 3 days I was there. It’s just how we do things. If you do it differently good for you. I’m not gonna tell ya that you’re ruining an area by doing what you do.

I enjoyed meeting you but damn is this getting really dramatized at this point

Wow. This escalated quickly.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Yes I am a little bitter at this point. I've had ten years of elk hunting bliss with little to no other hunting pressure in this area. I new this would come to an end some day. but it's still a hard pill to swallow. I wont blame this all on you but you are affecting  the elk behavior in a negative way. I chose to hunt this spot because it had the least hunting pressure and I was furthest away from others. an occasional hunter moving through would never run the elk out of there. this all changed with people who are running with the born and raised playbook. I know these tactic work but I think this is going to have  a negative effect on the elk and hunting  in the long run. maybe next year you will have to hike 40 miles a day to find an elk that will bugle.

The tactics talked about usurp other tactics being used by others in the area.  So great it works for some, but as you should be getting from what people are saying, many don't appreciate the tactic.  In areas or states with others not around great.  Its like guy that that's peacefully still fishing for trout anchored in a little bay doesn't appreciate the guy who motors around him casting buzz bombs. The attitude that posting about specific areas doesn't ruin it is like saying advertising doesn't work.  Especially for limited draw areas, you can most definitely easily ruin the odds of getting drawn.  I didn't read all the posts in this thread but the stuff about *censored* seems weird to me. Is this the new kids lingo for peeing outside?  Kind of different to name a hunting troop after that.
