Schnees granite are some of the best boots out there and are made in the US. If I had the money I would buy a pair but they are worth it form what I understand.

First sentence you say Schnees granite are the best boots out there.  Next sentence you say they are worth it from what you understand.  Either you know they're the best and worth it or from what you understand their the best and worth it.  Which one? I'm confused :dunno:

I'm on the hunt for a new pair of boots after my Crispi boots failed this year and after terrible customer service I will never buy another pair of boots from them.

Yes, we all know you are pissed at Crispi for not honoring their 12 month warranty even though your boots were 14 months old.  Makes it harder and harder for any company to even offer warranties in the hunting industry these days when customers complain and bad mouth companies even though they backed their product during their warranty period.  You mentioned you emailed Crispi, but did you even call them?  You are the only person I've ever heard of with these Crispi complaints where they had "terrible customer service".

The Schnee's are going to be a limited use boot.  Older I get the more cold feet become an issue. They are bulky for my liking and my energy output but damn cold toe's suck.  I've tried every trick in the book to not have frozen feet but finally bit the bullet and got some insulated boots :'(

I scared a sweet pair of LaSportivas from a certain Karl Blanchard... Have to say, most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned..  they save this guys knees and hips that are pretty bad.  Couldn't believe what a difference they made, waterproof and great on the back.

But is it worth the Blanchard foot fungus?

man I'm glad to hear that!  Feet and boot fit are so unique to each individual I just hate selling boots for fear the person will hate them

I just realized my auto correct error in my post...  I was not SCARED by Karl or his foot fungus but did SCORE a sweet pair of new boots!!   :chuckle:

Karl, nothing to worry about..  I knew you'd give me a fair shake if they didn't fit or not comfortable..  They are freakin heaven..  First pair of boots I have purchased in about 12 years..  My Danners were awesome, or at least I thought..  Until I tried these.

I went full send on cyber Monday.  Picked up 3 pairs of boots.

Asolo fugitive

Schnees granite VI

And another pair of my beloved scarpa kenisis pro gtx.

Took the asolo's out for a spin this weekend and was very pleased.  They were comfortable right out of the box however it in my experience if there's no break in time they probably are going to last me very long. Time will tell.
love my Scarpas!
did you get in on some of that Cyber Monday Amazon action? I sent the link to your brother but they were insanely cheap!
no, thanks a lot Karl!

I just bought a pair of Kennetrek Mountain Extremes NI this past October, first time I could try any on and ended up buying them in size 10, I usually get 10.5. Wore them a little around the house and bit the bullet one day and wore them hunting. Felt good but a little stiff since they were still being broke in but no tightness, pinching or blisters at all. Have since done some 10-16 mile days in them without issue. they seem to fit my feet.

Bought a pair of used Crispi Kanada boots size 10.5 from a guy on Rokslide a couple years ago, tried them on and they felt great. Then tried a few different insoles with good and bad results, pinched toes or sloppy fit, but now use them with Superfeet orange and better lacing technique and after packing a little weight for a few days in them they are great.

Irish Setter Elk Tracker NI are really comfortable with Superfeet green and broke in quick, fit my foot like they were made for them and the low flat heel seems better than other boots like the Cabelas Meindl airRevolution. I may have bought a half size too small in these but the heel seems too tall with anything other than the basic insole they come with. They are a soft boot as well, sole pretty flexible, I have put some miles on them and they were good and bad one day to the next.

Ive had and still have other irish setter boots, Tamarack I think, and Danner pronghorns(not again). From now on I think it will be Kenetrek or Crispi for me. Tried other Crispi's on at same time as Kenetreks and they felt as good.

Get 1/2 size larger not 1/2 size smaller.   Fine tune with sox and insoles.

I've always had really good luck with Danners especially their Made in USA boots.  They just seem to last forever and are always comfortable right out of the box and can hike all day and not have sore feet.  Also its really hard to wear any other sole once you have worn the BOB for so long.  It is hands down better then any other sole I have worn.  I would have to say that the most recent pair I bought does not seem to be as high of quality as the last three sets I have bought, so we will see how long they last they are only two years old now. I've found the key to having dry feet is to have two pairs of boots to allow the leather to dry out between days and let the GorTex do its job. Also wear the right sock for the day.  If your feet are sweating like mad you will have wet feet.

Im  rocking Danners now.  I like em.  Feet do get little chilly on occasion.  Good boots.  BUT Irish Setter elk tracker still much better in every way.  Problem with the Redwings are I wear the soles flat in a year.  Danners last better.  Probably go back to the Setters next year.
MAGA!  Again..

Having issues with the boot rands and sole letting water in especially near the toes. Going to see how the customer service is tomorrow. Called them and they didn't have a solution over the phone. Will update.
