Took my daughter with me this evening
« on: October 10, 2018, 07:04:09 PM »
Little Rylee has been bugging me to go quail hunting, so I finally took her. It was a bit frustrating at times since she’s only 5, but we had a blast! Fun time with my little girl. We ended up 1 short of a limit but we lost one in some thick brush.

Loved those days.  those are precious moments.

The only thing better is when they are older and finally get to hunt/harvest their own animals or birds.

I'd be happy never killing another deer if I could be there when my son shoots his every year

Just a few more years until I can think about doing the same with my daughter! I don't want to rush these years, but I certainly look forward to those.

Good Job Dad!  Not sure who looks happier, the dog or the daughter.  I loving hunting with my son but I long for the days when he was kicking around behind me.

I used to put my girls in my backpack and walk them with me on pheasant hunts. Did that until they were about 5 or so. They loved it and it was a great way to get them introduced to hunting. Good on you! Start them young and you will have a hunting partner for life!

Great picture.  Almost brought tears to my eyes thinking about when my son was that age or a little older and he'd go with me.
