Ever shoot a 30-30?  .243?

It won't be bad.  The 6.5CM seems to have a favorable recoil signature so it doesn't "feel" bad at all.

I think this is a really good reply (accurate).

Put a break on it. Will be mild to tame. No worries.

Or put a brake on it. Personally don't think it's needed though.

It depends on who you talk to. A PRS guy will tell you about the heavy recoil from a 14# 6.5 Creedmoor, a guy accustomed to shooting an 8# 300 Win Mag will say it's nothing.

I think anyone can learn to comfortably shoot the average hunting weight 6.5 Creedmoor.

I have a savage lwh 6.5 creed I would say is probably lighter than the tikka negligible recoil in a hunting situation off a bench you could shoot it all day and not be sore the next day. I like my 6.5x284 better but only for the 200 fps more velocity

Like what's been said above.

My 15 y/o son shot his T/C Compass 6.5 CM for a couple hours at the range. Put 40 rounds through it and had no soreness.
His previous shooting experience is from a 20ga slug gun and it has felt recoil.

Significantly less than the same rifle in 270. I had a 270 in the T3 Lite, and now have a 6.5CM in the T3 Lite.
