Seems like a nice area, depending on which area you go to.

I was looking at the Gloyd's area two weeks ago, since my wife's parents live up in Moses Lake area.

I called and talked to Chad up there with WFDW. He was very helpful with my questions.

I will be hitting that area up for some birdies next time I go up to Moses Lake.

Which area are you thinking about? I live right between all the units and would be happy to help you out.

I have one... Are there any birds in the Desert Unit?! ;D  I haven't cracked the code to that place yet, but it's been the most unsuccessful units I've hunted over there in terms of ground covered and birds seen.

Ha. I've never bothered to hunt the desert unit. I spend my time in ringold and kahlotus, mostly. If you head further east, or south east, you'd be better off.

Unfortunalty, its not like it was when I was younger. There are still birds around, but you've got to find the honey hole. They aren't dispersed like they used to be. I used to be able to sneak out behind the shop and shoot a rooster before getting on the school bus. Those days are long gone.

There are a couple of hunting clubs that have land you can hunt. Royal City Booster Club and the Waluke Hunting Club out of Mattawa. I don't have the links to them. I think one club plants birds on their land now and then.

Will give the desert unit a try I have 2 german shorthairs want to try and get my 3 yr old female I adopted on some birds to see how she does the former owner claims she had three months training. I’ve done some work with her. I trained my other shorthair male he is 11 now he will be coming as well he is older but sure don’t act like it! My female is like the energizer bunny she keeps going and going. She has a motor that never quits. The birds in the yard are driving her nuts. Tons of prey drive. I will be over there next week for a few days. Should be fun thanks!
