Heated hoodie help
« on: November 26, 2018, 02:52:09 PM »
I need everyone's help.  I want to get my wife a heated hoodie for christmas, but there are different options out there.  I'm looking for first hand experience with these.  Let me know which one/s you have and how well they work and if you like them or not.  How well they fit, true to size.

Tagging and Bumping,
This sounds like an awesome gift my wife would love

I haven't tried it, but my husband (a contractor) loves his new Milwaukee heated zip up hoodie. He's outside all day and said he gets about 3 hrs per battery on the high setting. I believe he paid around $200 for the hoodie, (which he layers under an insulated vest or jacket) 2 batteries, and the charger. Worth every penny in his opinion.

It's not heated but..... it's a ripper double thick sweatshirt and frigging warm. Look at Arborwear, I have a couple of them, they are 70 bucks but they are durable and warm with an oversized hood. I hunted a week in North Dakota for birds and the temp was 25 to 30 with at times a 25 mph wind. I had a long sleeve t shirt underneath. The cold back there is different and I was just right but your always on the move birdhunting.

I bought my wife an Ororo heated vest two weeks ago, on the advice of a Costco gas attendant who was wearing one.  Rave reviews from both.  Wife's was true to size.  They also have jacket options with and without hoods.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

My wife is a super chilly willy but still skis around 15 days a month during the season.  I bought her a Mobile Warming heated vest a couple years ago and she loves it.  On the days she works ski races she'll be standing out on the course all day and that's when she really likes it.  Not sure if they make a hoodie per say but I know they have a heated hooded jacket.

Like anything, the stuff that works well always costs more.
