Bismuth Shells Locally?
« on: November 28, 2018, 03:04:00 PM »
Hello, does anyone know where I can find Bismuth shells in the Puget Sound area, or Ellensburg/Basin? Last year the Cabelas in Marysville had tons of Bismuth on their shelves and now I can't find any up there. I'm looking for 12ga 2-3/4" for ducks as well as upland. I'm aware of Heavy Metal shells but I've read that Bismuth is easier on old barrels with full chokes.

Thanks,
Cliff

Thanks syoungs, but they do not have Bismuth in any of the stores in Puget Sound. I checked their Wenatchee store and they don't either. I'm guessing no one has it. I was hoping I could do some duck hunting with an old Model 97 Winchester pump, but it looks like I may have to stick with upland hunting if I can't find some non-tox that is ok to use in these old guns.

Bill W, I may just do that. I see Cabelas has them available online (https://www.cabelas.com/product/KENT-BISMUTH-PER-BOX/2774917.uts

Is there anything difficult about ordering shells for delivery in Washington state? Being a resident of Seattle I've grown weary of local govt restrictions, red tape, etc. Thank you.

All I can say is vote appropriately in the next election.  You have a bunch of knuckleheads living around you.   Should be no issue with ordering from an store and electing to have the product mailed to you instead of pick up at the local store.

If I am correct Salish = Cliff.

Thanks, I'll go ahead and order online, if the shipping charge isn't too insane. Appreciate it. Yes, this is Cliff.

Try Sportsman's Warehouse if and check out the  "ship to home" option.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try them. Now I can place your email handle. I was also a Trailblazer, but I haven't been to Hi Laker meeting in a couple of years. Take care.

Yep, Skagit Arms in Burlington is where I bought mine last time.  Kesselrings usually has some tungsten matrix as well.
