2019 McCall zone B tag...Idaho
« on: December 02, 2018, 07:47:43 PM »
I bought a tag for next year so curious if anyone wants to share some intel or possibly talk about hunting together.  I bring many years of elk killing experience  and all  my own gear...if nothing else maybe juts being same general area to work together.  I am excited to see some new country and will be scanning the internet for as much info as I can...

How big is your hunting party?  I hunted further north this last fall, but had a buddy shoot a buck in the McCall area that was nice.  He was in a burn area.

Wolves seemed to run the elk really hard up there this year, dont think I will go back to that unit for b tag. Would say almost half the trucks up there were from Washington though, so you should feel right at home

Discussions on the internet sure have brought a lot of additional pressure on Idaho the past five years. Shame as used to be an enjoyable experience hunting there without a ton of out of state pressure. I see Montana and Colorado , WY, E Oregon are experiencing the same with all the hunting shows and hunting related social media .
Pimping out these states.

I imagine it will soon go to draw only soon. I guess enjoy while you can.

With the music choice, I believe they're trying to point out the hunting scene in Last Of the Mohicans is nothing but Hollywood wizardry.

Looks like a Eric Chesser hunting video

Emptied the magazine on that sucker. Didn't look like a 5 or even 10 round mag either. Couple forky mulies and a elk you gut shot to death

That's one of the big reasons we hate Californians more than Washington people over here. Do stupid unethical stuff like that

Idaho has had the same amount of tags and hunting pressure for the last several years. Tags sales dropped off when the elk populations dropped due to wolves, things are slowly rebounding.
