Hello HuntWA,
About six months ago, I started my umpteenth attempt to complete a life long goal. That goal was to write a book. I had always anticipated my first book would be a science fiction thriller, but instead I took a different path.
That path led me to write a memoir of sorts covering the journey Scott (FillTheFreezer) and I have been on the last five years as we began to learn how to hunt the backcountry.
The book is now complete and in the final editing stages set for a Spring 2019 release.
This book doesn’t exactly fit the mold of your typical hunting book. It is certainly not a how-to book (though our failures were incredibly effective teaching moments). It is also not a book that is cover to cover with notched tags (though there are those as well).
Instead, I wanted to write a book that conveyed to the reader, the sense of adventure, brotherhood, and enjoyment that comes from spending time in hard to reach places. It’s full of (mis)adventure, success, failure, and type two fun!
My hope is that our story inspires others to push themselves to do things outside their comfort zone, and to spend their time on Earth seeking the extra ordinary.
