Understanding trail cam use. POLL

I started using Trail cams for the purpose of locating critters for hunting, but it has evolved into much more than that for me. I would definetly still use them even if I did not hunt.
I now enjoy the whole process of cams.....maybe even more than hunting.....not sure thats even possible since I think "hunting" 24/7/365 

They are fun, great exercise, get to see some cool critters, learn more about the animals and their habits, and just another reason to spend more time in the hills.

I picked mainly fun but also hunting.  With that said, we should be able to pick two options because I also use them for surveylance at my property.

I used to use them at home for security too, Lovin the new Arlo security cams now.

Despite hundreds of hours in the woods "hunting", it's my only real way of looking at animals. If it weren't for game cams I would've just quit this "sport" already.

I do all my cameras with my kids. They help pick the spot and we get to do a lot of hiking and scouting and they are exited to check out the pictures when we get home. Really helps keep them exited about going out because there are almost always some kind of critter pics on them

  I agree we should be able to pick two. Mostly for fun but also mostly for hunting. All they really do is show you what was there or what you missed. We really do enjoy checking them out all summer long and then things change so much after labor day anyway, you cant count on anything being the same once you have your bow in hand.

I don’t use trail cams so I can’t vote.
I did use a live camera crabbing once. It was fun watching the crab walk into the ring trap and pull it up. I really enjoyed crabbing when it was still legal here.
My issue with the trail cams is the direction this will head, and security.
The price will continue to drop, and eventually they will all be live so you will not even have to go out to check them.
Methheads and Poachers will be able to set them up, go home and watch a whole box full of micro cameras on closed circuit tv and wait for a criminal opportunity.

Pick 2 would skew the poll, Hence why the question was Main use. It cant be mostly for fun AND mostly for hunting, one of them would need to be less if one is mostly

I picked only for hunting because that was the whole reason for starting and continuing.
 I do like looking at all critters and it is fun. I have used them for surveillance. Its all of the above.
