Ordering from PSA and shipping to an FFL
« on: December 26, 2018, 01:01:37 PM »
Hey Folks,

Never ordered a gun or gun parts on-line that requires shipping to an FFL.  How does this process work?

Example I would like to order some items from Palmetto State Armory that requires shipping to an FFL.  I am located in Lake Stevens and are there any FFL's that take shipments from PSA close to Lake Stevens.  Not even sure this is how it works.

I noticed from their site there are several FFL's on file with PSA that are located in Lake Stevens.  Gunnation, LLC or gunnation.com seems to be the closest to me, anyone have any dealings with them?

Thank for your help.

How naughty was your suppressor, and who’s tongue did it violate?🤣

Thanks H20, I just called them, nice guy.

Know right where his shop is, I worked on the house during construction, kind of a small world.

One big tip for ordering form PSA.  Do multiple transactions if you are buying lower/upper that are separate part numbers/items.

ONLY ship the serialized FFL required lower to your FFL and do that as a separate transaction.
All other parts ship to your home/work in another transaction.

This saves you on tax and other hassles versus one single large order.

Ordering from PSA and shipping to a FFL really isnt a big deal.  If PSA already has a copy of the FFL on file, they will ship it to them.  If they dont have a copy, just get it from your FFL and email it to PSA along with your info and order #.  Track the shipment and pick it up at the FFL.  The FFL should notify you when it lands but I've found that to be hit and miss.  Best to track the shipment yourself.  One thing I've noticed about PSA is that they don't update their order status much.  You may have to call them to find out the ship date and tracking number.  My last order arrived while the website still said 'processing'.

I just ordered an upper and lower from them yesterday and they separated them out like this for me automatically
