When to start??
« on: January 12, 2019, 11:42:33 AM »
So when do y’all start looking for deer sheds? I’ve got the last weekend of this month free and was wondering if that would be to early to get out and look for mulie sheds?

I just found my biggest whitetail shed (last years drop) a couple days ago from the road. Always look, they start dropping anytime now. I found a cougar kill last week and the poor guy had bloody bases, looked and never found them.

I posted it in the 2019 shed page but didn't take a pic from the road unfortunately

Mulies are a little tough. They are hard to pattern I'd start by looking for them. Snow makes it tougher to find the older drops but the new drops will stick out if they drop in the snow
