The 18-20' single axle trailer setup is pretty much the top of a sweet band in boats. Any larger and you really cross a line that gets expensive quickly:Bigger truck needed to towTwo more tires, wheels and sets of bearings to maintain and failHarder to stow - for me it would mean paying somewhere vs having it at my houseFuel economy - I don't want to go through the thought process of whether I can afford a certain outing or notHandling - harder to drive, launch, manage in the windThere are certainly good things about big boats, but once you cross the line here, the costs and effort really go up.
Great boat! Picked up the same boat, but much older a year and a half a go. It's been a fish slaying machine on both sides of the state.
Main reason I stayed at 20'. I'll be fishing alone the majority of the time. Twenty foot is all I want to take on by myself. So once I get my system figured out it will be a breeze
Well I was finally able to pull the trigger and join you in the new boat club. Pick it up next Saturday.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
