New antelopes for Washington...Relocation Pics added
« on: January 22, 2019, 08:29:21 AM »
Just an update as we will be heading back to Nevada this Sunday Jan 27 and meeting with Nevada’s Wildlife biologist to do another capture on Jan. 28th and 29th to bring an additional 50 lopes back to our state..so far has been very successful with this 3rd capture taking place though the efforts of the Yakama Nation and Seattle Puget Sound Chapter of SCI and Seattle Sportsman’s Conservation Foundation..
Help support our cost by attending our fundraiser on Feb. 23, 2019 which has been posted on the forum. This has not been a cheap project to accomplish..

Very cool
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Awesome and thank you!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Great news, and thanks to SCI again for supporting this effort. It's wonderful to see speed goats in our state now.

If anyone is interested in learning more about SCI, meeting others with similar interests, and attending one of the best fundraisers in the state please consider attending this event:

I seen about 20 the other day was neat to see some in Washington   my stepdad was a biologist for region 2 and he said when he started working for the wdfw there were a few left from a transplant in the 60's but he said they didn't do well because of the sheep fences and they don't jump other fences.   It got me thinking while out and about there are lots of old dilapidated fences  not sure if there was a group that would talk to land owners and possibly remove old fences that are not doing anything just a thought?

AWESOME!

I'm really happy to see significant supplemental plants.    I'm no biologist, but it sure seems like the best way to actually establish a healthy herd.
