I was really hoping to draw the Dayton unit but did not. I drew it in 2007 and had a great hunt. Rufous.

What's the advantages of the spring hunt over the fall hunt?
I thought theres' plenty of bears and opportunities in the Aug through Nov. season.

Maybe this is a topic for a whole new thread?!

I don't think it is about advantage as much as it is about a hunting opportunity.
But a couple advantages would be prime hides, less hunting pressure.
