Have you been naughty or nice?
I'm always on the nice list.  Chris though?............not so much :chuckle:
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Just might have to pull the trigger.
Do it! You deserve it.
as our adopted father figure he's gotta get each of us one too though chris :chuckle:
agreed. So we can run it through it’s paces and make sure it’s a good fit for him.... it’s really the responsible thing to do to make sure he doesn’t buy anything that sucks.

I've been eyeing these too..  Debating between the 2-12x42 (Length = 12.5", weight = 16.8 oz) and the 3-18x44 (Length = 13.5", weight = 20.4 oz).  I currently won't shoot past 400-500 yards, and spend a fair amount of time hunting timber on the Westside.  Any thoughts/suggestions?  That price on B&H for the 3-18 is the best I've seen for either.

For the savings I think it would take awhile to notice the 4oz difference between the 2-12 and 3-18. I just couldnt pass up the price at B&H

I have the 4-24 and love it. Wouldn’t want anything else. I have the TMOA reticle it’s sweet! It has the 34mm tube so think of that when buying. Nightforce has nice ultralight rings that are 34mm

For those of you that own both the VX5 HD and the VX6 HD, is there a big difference in glass clarity?

I just held both side by side at the leupold booth at the Puyallup show.....both are very nice.....for the $$$ I'd go with the 5.

Dont quote me but I dont think the glass is any different between the 5HD and 6HD. I think the difference is in things like the 6’s ability to auto level the scope during set up and some other features that i cant remember. I have the 30mm 3-18x50. Awesome scope. With no previous experience i was dialing the turret and hitting targets out to 700 on the first day. Firedots a cool feature also.

i own both and glass is the same just extra other things on the 6. The new 4-20x52 VX5HD should be a great scope
