Very sad just read that he passed away today. I remember watching many videos of him and Larry Jones hunt ing elk
Great guy and inspirational to many. Prayers to the family

Sorry to hear about this. When I first got into archery I used his products. Met him at one of the sportsman shows. Very nice gentleman.

Prayers to his family and friends. I met him twice and he was a great guy to talk to. He will be missed.

I love his books. Very inspirational to a young guy who didn't come from a hunting family. Sad to see that he has passed on; rest in peace.

Saw this earlier. First hunting video I ever watched was him and larry Jones hunting high country mule deer on vhs. I bet I watched it 20+ times before I could even legally hunt

Man thats a bummer, he was a great guy, I still have his book bowhunting for mule deer, an detailed guide open country mule deer, what a great read that was to an up and coming hunter.

His book Bugling for Elk was my elk hunting manifesto when I switched to archery. He was my biggest elk hunting mentor even though I never met him. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Dwight you have inspired many people in the great outdoors and there is not enough of that in the world. Prayers for his family and friends, RIP.
