I am a saleman....But I sell pharmaceuticals.  I have done my research.

1000 yrd bench rest records have nightforce scopes on them.
Special forces use Nightforce Scopes
Have seen a leupold scope get smashed with a nightforce with nothing happening to the nightforce.  We use to hit these on steel posts to make sure they didn't change point of impact.

Ok Ok.  I use to work there....I have seen every high end scope known to man.  They all change point of impact.  Nightforce uses a special bedding compound on its lenses that prevent this from happening.  If your only shooting animals at 100-300 yards then your probably fine with just about any scope.  If you want the best of the best then you buy Nightforce.  If your going to spend over 1k then you should consider Nightforce.  If you don't like the weight of the scope then join the gym!! :chuckle:

my good friend over here has a zeiss on his drilling(2-12guagebarrels over a 30.06) that he has adjusted once in 28 years.

my other friend on a chamois hunt lost his rifle 200 feet down a rock slide and it still shot right on. schmidt and bender.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

In this order of preference....

1)  Leupold

2)  Bushnell Elite 4200

3)  Nikon Team Primos

4)  Zeiss Conquest

You will never be sorry with the Leupold and if your change your mind or want to upgrade, it can be resold for very little if any loss.   The others are outstanding products for the money.

Your money?  Leupold.

My money?...Bushnell Elite 4200 ($249), Nikon Team Primos ($199), Zeiss Conquest($350)
All of the scopes I listed have VX3 quality glass and better construction....Less likely to need to use the warranty.

I may be shopping in the wrong place but haven't seen any Zeiss Conquests for $350 unless they offer a fixed 4x or something?? If there is somewhere send me a link!! I'll buy a couple.
