A couple birds came home
« on: March 24, 2019, 06:36:53 PM »
I brought a couple mounts home tonight.

1st is a hybrid.  American wigeon and Eurasian wigeon.  it was an odd duck.  1st hybrid I've ever shot so I needed it mounted.

2nd is a white belly or gray belly Brant.  They are called both.  They come from an island in the arctic.  I believe the name of the island is Melville Island.

Pretty birds.  I especially like the top one.  Thanks for posting.

Did you mount these yourself?
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Did you mount these yourself?

A buddy did the actual mounts for me.  I bought some of the materials from McKenzie's and I got the Barnacle plank from Padilla bay.  I thought it would be a unique base for a wall mount.
