Bow Press Recommendation

I've been mulling it over for a while and decided Im ready to get my own bow press so I can do all the work on my bow by myself.   I've never even touched a bow press so I have no idea what I should get or what other tools I need in addition to a press to get a bow set up from scratch.

Any words of wisdom or advice on what to look for?

I made my own. There are some videos on utube that show how to make one. I made it out of 2x4s, hinges, and a large turnbuckle. I adapted it from one a guy has on there where he used threaded rod for the press.
The bow manufacturers probably don’t recommend homemade ones. Mine works good.

I've used a few presses and I stuck with the LCA EZ press. Gives the clearest access to cams and strings. Unless you have the hoyt that requires the special fingers they are reasonably priced. Add the draw board attachment and get a good bow vise.

EZ Press Green - The newer Hoyt's don't require the adapters too.  You can hook up a power drill to it to make it automatic too. 

Other possible items:
Bow Vise - LCA or OMP $150-$250.  I probably use this as much if not more than the press.
Hamskea Easy Third Axis Level ($50) or some other type of bow/sight leveling devices.
Draw Board - LCA one or ArcheryDezign ($150 - $250) (nice to have, but not essential, use for measuring draw length, draw weight, and cam timing)

Like others have said the last chance ez green is a great budget press. You can always by a portable press like the synumn press for 100 or so dollars and it can be taken with you hunting in case. http://synunm.com/
