New muzzleloader ?
« on: May 05, 2019, 09:10:59 PM »
Gonna go look for a new .50 cal muzzleloader this week. Any suggestions as to brand, style or barrel length? Needs to be a 209 gun.

I love my CVA optima. One of my brothers has a Night, the other brother has a Traditions, they both like mine better.

I have both a accura and optima. Both are solid choices depending on what you want to spend.

Also purchased the CVA Accura V2 through muzzle-loaders.com, no complaints, no issues. Accurate and reliable gun at an affordable price.

The new Accura delivered by Fed Ex yesterday from Muzzleloader.com only 3 days from order. Went to the range and shot a few rounds. It was about a foot low at 50 yds. Sight adjustment and it is right where it needs to be. Am heading to the range this morning to work on 100 yds. On the 3rd shot yesterday the palm saver broke off from the ramrod, the threaded part is still in the ramrod.

What bullets are you shooting and are they super tight going down ? And do you use a bullet starter?
