Barrel Threaders?
« on: May 16, 2019, 11:34:18 AM »
Anyone have a recommended place to thread a few barrels? I really dont want to ship them off to get done if I dont have to.  Prefer a place as far north as possible in WA, but Ill drive some if I have to.

Thanks

Might be able to get benchmark barrels to do it for you depending on how busy they are.  Give them a try.

When you say as far north as possible, do you mean west or east side north?

Benchmark can be pretty quick.  The small cost of shipping it to them would be worth the peace of mind knowing it gets done right.  Worth a phone call to see how busy they are.

It's a lot more south, but Firemasters in Cinebar does some good threading work for suppressors and breaks.

I just sent a barrel to Bison Gun Works. He charged me $150 to thread for a Savage small shank, chamber for a 338/375 Ruger and thread the muzzle 5/8"x 24. there is also a $20 return shipping charge. Had my barrel back in 9 days.
He did a very good job.

I brought two barrels to Benchmark on Friday. They said 2-3 week wait. They've been very busy lately.
