chrono graphing muzzleloader

do you use the same technics as for modern rifle I have been told you have to increase the distance you set it up but can't find exact footage

because of the size of the muzzle blast - I set mine at 10' from the muzzle.

This pic shows a typical set up for me.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

depending on the brand, the instructions normally tell you how far to put it for a muzzleloader. I set mine up 15 to 18 feet away for muzzleloader.

I should have mentioned that I blast shield on mine... the plastic cover and wrap over the face of the chrono...  It a small layer of protection for the actual chrono.
