spring bear unit 186

i drew a spring bear tag for the Grande Ronde unit 186, it was my second choice judging by the number of post on this unit I don't think I will be very successful but thought I would give it a shot anyway. was looking to see if anyone has any advice for the unit was up there once already but the real estate seemed to be to open to hunt bear not sure where I should focus? any advice would help thanks

own a raft or a pontoon boat? not a ton of public land. Id be glassing from the river into the public land areas then cross if you spot one. Some steep country going up from river

what it looked like a few weeks ago the river was not a good option in a small boat, but I have one where would you recommend I put in at? thanks for the help

Boggan's oasis probably.  Or you are coming down the Snake from Clarkston / Lewiston.

Walk in access of the Joseph Cr. Rd from Clarkston as well.

Kind of a sad little unit for a spring bear draw, I'd be curious how many bears you see down there!  I used to live in Clarkston and spent a lot of time in that area but don't recall much for bear populations.
