Ive been casually looking at these.  I don’t have room or money for an ORV but getting around logging  roads I’m either in my truck or getting passed by 4 wheelers on foot.  I know I’m not gonna beat an ORV but its gotta help getting up the mountain roads quiet and quicker than on foot.  Any experience with these and are they worth the money or am i better off parking the truck and hoping 4 wheelers don’t scream past and blow out my spot.

I have a Rad power bike.
They're alot of fun. I can get around 40 miles on a full charge as long as I'm pedaling.
They run around 1500 new and are worth it.

We use them also, but only get maybe 15 miles of mountain terrain.

We have a Radbike and a custom electric converted mountain bike. Absolutely love them. Your mileage depends on how much electric assist you dial in. I primarily use assist to help level the hills and turn it off when not needed. That gives me around 20-25 miles of range. It you get lazy and use lots of assist realistically you’ll get 10-15 miles.

Tagging along.  How well do the Rads pull hills?  Can they pull a 1000 foot elevation climb over 10 miles distance?

They are excellent in wilderness areas.

For the guys that have them what's your experience behind no motorized vehicle gates?  I keep hearing mixed answers on them being ok or not.

Where we hunt on the coast they get confiscated and you get a trespassing ticket.

If it has pedals, 750 W or less and can't go over 20 mph; then state law says it isn't motorized and it is classified as a bicycle.

Forest Service classifies them as motorized vehicles.

Thanks for posting that Stein.  Didn't realize that.  I was researching modifying my mountain bike into an e-bike (not hard to do) for a specific area that has mountain bike trails in a national forest area for a specific hunting trip.  Glad I didn't waste the money.  Thanks for posting.

Thanks for saving me $1500 bux,  my hunting pard wants one pretty bad and he's not gonna like it when I tell him its a motorized vehicle so might as well be caught behind the gate with an ATV or Jeep
