Vital Impact Arrows
« on: July 02, 2019, 02:48:26 PM »
First archery hunt this year. I have been using the Sportsman Warehouse brand all year for targets. Are these arrows not good enough for hunting? I don't mind switching to something like a FMJ or any other product on that level but wanted to hear thoughts about stepping up before I do it. thanks.

I killed this buck and a bear last year with them no problem.  From what I understand they're basically gold tips.  All comes down to how they shoot and the broadhead on the end

Thanks for the response! I am feeling pretty accurate with those arrows and thought for my first time it would do the trick. you have any input on broadheads?

I used the montec 100 grain, I liked them, but also sure almost any broadhead will work as long as you put it in the lungs.

If you're shooting them well then there's no reason to switch over but if you're like me and like buying hunting gear then why not you can never have too much stuff 😆

my daughter killed her first deer last year. 600 spine Vital Impact arrows with 100 RAD Madman head. Right behind the front shoulder at 13 yards, not a pass through with 40 pounds, but the broadhead DESTROYED the offside ribs. Deer spurted blood 18" out the entry side!  :yike:  I'm buying another batch of Vital Impact arrows for her. They're on sale now.

They are all I shoot.  They are made by Goldtip and branded for Sportsmans.  Pretty sure they are around $80 with the GT logo on them.

I killed my bear in my avatar 2 yrs ago with one.  I run a shuttle T 100grn broadhead, clean pass thru @27yrds.  no damage at all to arrow after hitting dirt.
