Saying thanks

Drew a controlled hunt cow tag in Idaho and through a series of farmers I randomly called I was able to get access to a farm to take a cow. I was trying to think of ideas for a gift bag or something as a way to say thanks. The lady/landowner certainly didnt have to give a random out of stater this privelege. Anybody done this or have some ideas? I want to do this situation right. I always offer meat if I get an animal, however, this offer is not usually taken up by most landowners.

Salami, pepperoni, fresh fruit, honey and my fave salt water taffy.

Those are usually my go to things and thank you, for the people that I get to hunt with or on their ground.

Salmon, halibut, lings or rock fish usually will make a pretty good impression on a landowner.

Apples if you are from Eastern Washington.  We bring a truck full to Montana and Wyoming each year.  And I mean a TRUCK load!  The ranch's I hunt on get cases of apples and they can share with their family and other ranch's

I like the idea of something she can't get locally over there. Smoked or frozen salmon has always been a big hit if I'm giving a gift to somebody from out of state.

 I take fresh oysters to three different farmers in eastern wa. They told me I am the only one who brings them stuff so they said I am the only one who gets to hunt their land. Oysters are the secret!

Like a few have said, salmon. You cant go wrong bringing a fresh caught salmon, or even crab too.  It's a kind gesture and a treat they dont normally get.  Good on u and good luck

We let a family hunt our property and every year they bring us a couple cords of firewood. My wife and I are so appreciative of this. It was not in the original agreement, just a kind gesture.
