Kids backpacking pack
« on: July 21, 2019, 09:08:10 PM »
I’m looking for a kids backpacking style pack for my 11 year old.  He’s a pretty solid kid and I think he can start pulling his weight a bit on our outings  :chuckle:

Does anyone have any ideas?  I’ve looked into all of the hiking brands but they’re kind of pricey and a bit “colorful.”  I’m sure he’ll want to use it on our hunting trips too so it would be nice to have something a bit more subdued.  I’m sure he’d love camo...

Let me know any suggestions or if anyone has one to sell.

no wonder if it would fit me.

Not a fan of REI, but at least go check them out for fit and models, then buy elsewhere, if possible. If you can get one that looks close to blaze orange, not a bad idea.

I see what you are saying about the color but you can find lots of packs that are close to OD Green. As we all know movement is far more noticeable than a non camouflage backpack. If you are looking to keep him happy find a pack that fits him properly and do not worry about the color.

Thanks for the replies!  I’d be fine with an olive green or hunter orange type color - he would probably prefer cano if it was available - I hardly wear camo but the kids love it!

I've got one listed in the classifieds. I'd make a sweet deal on it.

It's an Osprey Ace 48.
